6th Label for 6th Set

I’m thinking about making this into a monthly post, that way I just lump all the sales I do in a month and just show you the labels made. Might be easier that way.

Anywho… on to the label.

4th Label for the 4th Set

YAY! Another crayon set down! Happy they sell! I like to imagine they are making wonderful gag gifts or that it’s some funny brides gift.

So this set was called Barnacle Billies! And I had to think fast because the buyer needed it quick! Which was fine, so I went for a simpler design idea.

Cute aren’t they! My little sailor men are heading out to the big city of New York! I wish them the best, and hope they had a great trip!

I have also decided to start sharing where my crayons go! State wise anyway. I hope to see the map covered at some point, but this is a nice place to start.

Ice Cream Summer Pattern

Long ago in college, I made a ice cream design.

I later decided to redesign it.

Sadly I had to draw over my old design. While I was doing that I also decided to rearrange it. I’ll probably work on it some more. But I do have this design done right now, and you can get it untagged on Spoonflower! They have print it on fabrics and wallpaper and gift wrap to. I think that’s pretty cool.

I think it would be one of those patterns that looks cool from far away, but then when you get close you see it’s al whole bunch of mini ice creams! Isn’t that wonderful!

2nd Label for the Second Set

Another set sold! How exciting! I love it when sets sell, because then I get to whip up a label same day. This set was called Dreamy Roses N Manhood. Cute right!? Right after the send the package out I wait a couple days before blogging about it. Just because I want it to be a little special for the buyer. They have no idea what the label will look like, and nether do I…until I make it. So besides my blog, I also share it on my Tumbler. https://www.tumblr.com/blog/kelleysvisions So follow me there to! Incase it might be easier for you, also I think my 1 follower would like some company. Now to show you the label!

Things I Did in College Part 2

I painted this monster till 6am because I thought it was due the next day and I had procrastinated (No surprise there). Also it was not due the next day, the teacher just wanted to see progress. But it still looked like the best one in the class.

Long Ago I Made…

Pokemon first gen bookmarks and pins. I was probably my 2nd year out of college and I had been con hoping with a buddy of mine. Cynical Sniper Studios, maybe you’ve heard of her. She makes awesome pillows and things. Any who I picked up the bug… the try to sell your shit at conventions bug. But I was (and still am) super cheap, so I didn’t want to put a lot of money into something I wasn’t sure would work.

Things I Did in College Part 1

I went looking for some art in my old files and found some really cool old stuff I haven’t seen in a while. I went to college between 2008-2012, so it’s been about 3 years since college happened…now I feel all adult… weird. And so I thought I would share some things with you.

I modeled for my friends then girlfriend who was a photography major. I only did 3 sets with her, but getting all dressed up and posing made me feel super! Her name is Kaitlin and she resides in Atlanta.

Sold My First Set!

So one of my penis crayon sets sold! I was so surprised and happy! It really made my day! But when it sold I had to make a label for it, as I had said in the description I would. I wasn’t to worried about make a image because it would be small.

Mixed Media Space Painting

One of my friends was interested in space, and I decided I would attempt to try something new. Space, I never really did any space paintings and anything related to space for that matter.

So to start I wanted it to look old, and I like the newspaper look. So I hodge podged some paper done, we always have a bunch of newspaper laying around.

Designing a Piggy Bank Label

My cousins son was turning 1 year old… last year. But I figure any time is good to share a design. I’m a poor artist so I couldn’t buy anything, and I think handmade gifts are better. Even if he was just turning one, and probably won’t remember… I still thought it would be special.

So while I was growing up my parents instilled in me that college was important. That there was no way in hell I would not be going. So while times are different now, it’s always nice to get at least a little bit of college. So I was going to make a College Fund Jar. I had the empty jar (as I hoard many), and paper, and a printer, plus paint. I was set.

First thing I did was start sketching out little doodles (as is my style). I have no idea what these little man will grow up to be or want to be. So I kept the sketches generic and unassuming.

Next I traced some font I had in Photoshop, nothing special. I just wanted to give it that hand
drawn feel.

After that I cropped it to size and filled in space around the edges.

Next I went to some color scheme website and found some nice ones to get inspired from.

I think I did a vote or just asked my parents which one they liked best, and the upper right corner one won. And now time to print, paste and paint. The finished product I think came out pretty good if I do say so myself.

I don’t design patters or think of how a product is designed much. But I had a fun time designing this.
